James Bowman (20) is an exciting young Batting All-Rounder from Cumbria, England.
The 20-year-old is a very driven and hard working individual and plays Cricket for Penrith in the Northern Premier League. Having played for Cumbria County Cricket Club throughout age group cricket, he is now part of the 1st XI squad that plays in the Minor Counties Championship.
Last season James impressed with both bat and ball for Penrith as he provided consistent runs and key wickets on a regular basis. In 2022, the aggressive right-hander scored 454 league runs @ 26.71, with a season best of 97 not out. Priding himself on taking the game to the opposition, James can occupy the crease under pressure if the situation requires.
With the ball in hand Bowman took 15 wickets at an average of 20.33, as his right-arm seamers contributed to multiple wins. Also an aggressive bowler looking to attack the stumps on a regular basis, his seamers have proved him to be a worthy all-round asset for any side.
Looking to head to the southern hemisphere for the 2023/24 season, the talented youngster is hoping he can continue to build on his success in recent times and contribute regularly for a new club both on and off the field.
