Kai Brunker is a talented leg spinning all-rounder from Canberra, Australia.

Brunker (Who holds a UK Ancestry Visa) is a front line traditional leg spinner and a hard hitting lower order batsman, who currently plays in ACT Premier Cricket for Queanbeyan District Cricket Club. The Aussies dedication to consistently elevating his skill set, has seen him progress quickly, becoming one of the most damaging bowlers in the local grade competition, earning back-to-back leading wicket taker honours in his first 2 seasons in 1st grade as a 15-year-old and following that up as a 16-year-old.

These achievements saw him earn further recognition through representation in the ACT Comets Men's team at Australian Country Championships becoming the youngest player to represent the ACT in 47 years. At the 2022/23 Cricket Australia U17 National championships, Kai represented NSW Country finishing as NSW’s leading wicket taker with 10 wickets @15.2 and a best bowling performance of 4/35 against Victoria Metro.

Additionally, Kai was recognized as Queanbeyan District Cricket Clubs "Mark Higgs" medalist (First grade player of the year) in 2021/22 his debut 1st grade season and runner up in 2022/23. He was the clubs and Cricket ACT's leading wicket taker in both seasons culminating in selection in the Cricket ACT First Grade team of the year in both seasons.

Success with the ball so young has meant Kai has received limited opportunities with bat in hand but continues to make great strides averaging a healthy 35.50 in the 2-day competition in 22/23. The Aussie has started this season positively with hard hitting 32 off 31 balls batting at number 7 including 3x6's in his first innings to ensure his team was able to negotiate a small target.

The exciting Aussie has now signed for Davenham Cricket Club for their Cheshire County League campaign.
