Kushen Kishun is a leg-spin bowling all-rounder playing for KwaZulu-Natal Inland, who until taking his post with Cricket Scotland, was coached by former South African A coach Shane Burger.

Kishun has played over 130 domestic matches since his first-class debut in February 2011 but didn’t cement his spot till the 2015/16 season. He struck 318 runs at 31.80 and took 16 wickets at 19.93 that season and has become a key performer for Inland since.

Kishun was a player of serious promise – he dominated Coke Week for KZN and played against the touring England Under-19s in January 2009 for the South African Invitational Under-19 side – taking 3-21 (8) in the second one-dayer, including the wickets of Jaik Mickleburgh, Liam Dawson and Scott Borthwick – all LBW.

Whilst it took several years to establish himself as a professional cricketer, Kishun has since done that. Over the past two full seasons, Kishun has struck 323 runs at 24.84 (2018/19), and 422 runs at 30.14 (2019/20) in first-class cricket.

The talented all-rounder is now eager to spend a season plying his trade Irish league cricket in 2022. He will be a sought-after player, given his all-round skill set and full-season availability.
