He has represented Taranaki (Minor Association) at age-group level since the age of 11 and has been a key performer for Central Districts Under-17s over the past two seasons, including the National Under-17 Tournament in January 2020.

At Premier club level, playing for NPBHS, he has been the Taranaki Premier Competition’s leading wicket-taker over the past two seasons (2019/20-20/21) with 103 wickets at 13.75. He topped the charts in 2019/20 (64 at 11.90) and was third in 2020/21 (42 at 16.43), with a handful of 5-wicket hauls, and best bowling of 7-63 during the past two seasons.

Last summer, he skippered NPBHS to a third-place finish in the National Secondary Schools Tournament (Gillette Cup). He was the Cup’s fourth-leading wicket-taker (9 wickets at 14.56). Carr also starred for Taranaki Under-17s, finishing as the sides leading wicket-taker in both the past two seasons, and was the MVP in 2020/21.

Carr is a high-quality prospect who is now eager to progress in the game. A fierce competitor, and driven to succeed, he is keen to spend a summer abroad in 2022, following his secondary education at NPBHS. A player, and individual, who comes highly recommended – Carr represents a fantastic signing for the 2022 season.
