Max Toohey is an hugely talented left-arm spinner from Taunton, England. Who has the added bonus of holding an Aussie Passport.
Toohey currently represents Bridgwater Cricket Club in the West of England Premier League where he has so far taken 27 league wickets at an average of 21. Earlier this summer, Max captained the University of Bristol 1st XI and claimed 13 league wickets at an average of 9.
In 2021 Max played a season of grade cricket for Penrith Cricket Club in Sydney. Notable performances include 5-22 vs Fairfield Liverpool and 5-21 vs Western Suburbs, both in the Poidevin-Gray Shield Competition. Max has now played 4 seasons for Bridgwater CC in the WEPL and has been named as the teams bowler of the year for the last 3 years running.
Max played his age-group cricket for Somerset CCC, and went on to represent the 2nd XI on multiple occasions with best figures of 2-15 (9) vs Essex.
The finger spinner is now keen to head overseas this winter and no doubt will impress.
