Nasibullah Sherdali is an exciting prospect currently playing for Boost Region in Afghanistan domestic cricket.
Playing alongside fellow CricX stars including the likes of Waqarullah Ishaq, Munir Ahmad, and Mohammad Ibrahim, the talented youngster opens the batting for Boost, with whom he debuted in 2019.
His journey started with his Provincial side, Kandahar (2018/19), before breaking into the Boost side in both first-class (Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament) and List A (Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament) cricket.
A flamboyant opening bat, he burst onto the domestic circuit for Kandahar playing 2 matches before joining Boost for the remainder of their Ahmad Shah Abdali campaign. In 5 matches throughout the tournament, he racked up 342 runs at 42.75, then backed up with 186 runs at 46.50 in the List A tournament that followed.
Surprisingly, he's failed to cement his spot since but remains part of the Boost squad and is looking to become a first-team regular moving forward. He still aspires to play international cricket and as part of his development, Sherdali is eager to explore opportunities abroad.
** Note: Sherdali needs to play 3 further first-class matches to qualify for an ISP Visa for the UK 2023 season.
