Owen Feakes is a hugely talented wicket-keeper batter who previously represented Lancashire through the age groups up to under 19 level. He is a fluent top-order bat, and widely regarded as one of the best glovemen not to be playing professionally.
Feakes is the current Player/Coach for Flowery Field in the Greater Manchester Cricket League. On the field, he enjoyed a productive 2021 season scoring upwards of 600 runs averaging nearly 30. Courtesy of his club exploits, he has been involved with both the Cheshire and Cumberland development squads.
Arguably the younger’s best season came pre COVID, when excelling for the Lancashire Under-19 side in his final year. It’s fair to say Feakes was disappointed not to be offered a County contract having topped the clubs' averages (54) with a highest score of 138* against Yorkshire.
Nevertheless, the talented gloveman remains eager to push for a professional contract and as part of his development, has decided to play down under next winter. He has signed with Victorian-based club, Omega, for their 2022/23 South East Cricket Association campaign.
