Philip Visser is a gun all-rounder (spin) from Bloemfontein, South Africa. The top-order batter and right arm off-spinner is a hard-working dedicated athlete and currently plays his cricket for the University of the Free State Cricket Club in the Manguang Cricket Association Premier League.
With plenty of experience under his belt, Philip is known for playing for a number of prestigious teams in South Africa. Most noticeably throughout his youth playing for the Knights Cubs and then as he’s progressed playing a handful of games for Free State.
Respectively, the youngster is most known for hitting 63 not out on his debut for Free state in a match-winning knock against Eastern Province in the CSA Provincial One Day Challenge cup. Now with a number of games under his belt, the hard-hitting all-rounder is looking to find this form once again in order to be a mainstay in the Free State side.
Philip has also enjoyed some experience overseas, traveling to the UK and being Thongsbridge Cricket Club's overseas player for the 2017 season. He represented them in the Huddersfield Drakes Premier Division, respectively scoring 684 runs across the season at an average of 29.74 but most noticeable stood out bowling his way to 47 wickets at an average of 20.47.
Now the South African is looking to showcase his talents in either Australia or New Zealand for the 2022/23 season down under and we have no doubt this all-rounder could be the complete package for any club side looking for a top-order batter who can also bowl spin.
