Philip Visser is a talented batting all-rounder who has represented Free State, Knights Cubs, and Free State Cricket Club in Bloemfontein, South Africa, over the past few years.
An explosive top-order batter who bowls right-arm off-spin, Visser broke into professional cricket in December 2019, hitting a match-winning 63 not out for Free State against Eastern Province.
He has since represented his Province in 5 outings - 2 first-class and 3 List A matches, with his last game coming in February 2021. Despite his early success, Visser hasn't featured since and is now set to travel down under having signed with Waurn Ponds Deakin Cricket Club for their 2022/23 Geelong Cricket Association campaign.
This venture won't be Vissers' first stint abroad, having spent a prolific season in England back in 2017 playing for Drakes Huddersfield club Thongsbridge (684 runs at 29.74 and 47 wickets at 20.47).
Visser is eager to impress in Australia and given his success, both home and abroad, over the years, it's fair to say the GCA will have a cracking overseas in the competition this summer.
