Piran Kent is a talented spin bowling all-rounder from Cornwall, England.
The youngster is an exciting prospect who has been a part of the Cornwall Minor County set up since he was a youngster. Turning out for Redruth in the Cornwall Premier League, the right-arm off-spinner has developed over a number of years to become the leading 1st XI spinner at the club.
Piran, who bowls his attacking spin, enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2022 and has started the current campaign in the same manner. After spending time away studying at Cardiff University, the spinner returned to full time cricket claiming 24 wickets at an average of 27.96 last term.
In 2023, the tweaker has already picked up 9 wickets from his 26 overs for Redruth (25/05/2023). Also a right handed middle-order batter, the Southerner has an aggressive style he continues to develop in the hope he can start putting in some more consistent performances.
Piran has now signed for Ashwood Cricket Club in Melbourne for the 2023/24 Season.
