Sagar Mangalorkar is an accomplished seam-bowling all-rounder who has excelled home and abroad in recent years.

Between 2014 and 2017, he played 17 first-class matches for Baroda, taking 51 wickets at 29.31 alongside 289 runs at 22.23.

He then dominated the UK, playing in the strong Birmingham League for two seasons taking 93 wickets at 15.96 alongside 1,084 runs at 49.27. He helped Streetly to promotion and avoid relegation during the 2017 and 2018 seasons respectively. He finished second on the Division 3 wicket charts in 2017 (48 wickets at 13.40), then replicated this in Division 2 in 2018 (45 wickets at 18.69). He was also a key performer with the bat, hitting 377 runs at 41.89 (2017) and 556 runs at 42.77 (2018).

Despite his performances, he was overlooked for first-class selection for Baroda, therefore last summer (2019/20) he plied his trade in Sri Lanka for Burgher Recreation Club. Playing in the top tier (Tier A) of Sri Lankan domestic cricket, alongside international stars including Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Tharindu Kaushal, Mangalorkar made an immediate impression.

The all-rounder opened both batting and bowling in his first two matches, where he has struck successive fifties against SL Army and Colombo, not to mention a few poles along the way.

Mangalorkar excelled throughout his Sri Lankan campaign and is now waiting to return for the 2021/22 season, to play 2 first-class matches to qualify for a UK return on a International Sportsperson Visa Visa.

Holder of a level two coaching badge, the Indian all-rounder is a player we highly recommend for any UK club in 2022.
