Sarah Parker is a talented opening batter who bowls off-spin pushing for professional honours in New Zealand domestic cricket.

Parker, who opens the batting for Lancaster Park Premier Women's alongside former White Ferns international Frankie Mackay, has been involved with the Canterbury Development squad and was involved with the Otago Sparks training squad in the past. It seems only a matter of time till she earns full selection to play in New Zealand's Women's domestic competitions.

The daughter of a former professional cricketer, Parker has grown up around high-level sport, cricket, and netball, in particular. Unfortunately, her early career was hampered by injury but after two major knee surgeries (aged 15/16), she has returned to full fitness and is incredibly driven to break into professional cricket.

Last summer (2021/22), she topped Lancaster Park's Premier Women run charts before embarking on a gap year to the UK. She lived and worked in a PE Department in Stratford-upon-Avon, delivering various sports, including cricket. She even created a cricket coaching manual that the school still uses to this day.

Parker is now desperate to return to the UK for a cricketing stint in 2023. Holder of a British Passport, she represents a fantastic acquisition for any Women's club side in 2023.
