Savindu Peiris is an exceptional spin bowling prospect who broke into domestic cricket straight from school in 2019. In his 10 outings, the off-spin sensation took 42 wickets to include an incredible 38 wickets at 16.57 in 5 first-class games.

Playing for Sri Lanka Navy Sports Club, the off-spinner took 3 five-wicket bags in successive games to include best match figures of 10-199 against Lankan Cricket Club. A bowler equally adept with both the new and old ball, Peiris often opened the Navy attack with his spin.

To prove his opening season was no fluke, Peiris produced an incredible 10-wicket haul against Kandy in the second round of the Major League Tournament (Tier B) in February 2020 (5-7 and 5-67) taking his first-class tally to 55 wickets at 21.78.

Whilst known for his bowling at domestic level, Peiris is an accomplished middle-order batsman, as he proved throughout his junior career for Prince of Wales College (Moratuwa). He batted between 7 and 9 for Navy Sports Club and produced several useful innings, to include highest scores of 37 and 39 in first-class and List A respectively.

The bowling all-rounder is an outstanding talent who is looking to play UK league cricket for the first time in 2021.
