Sohail Bhatti is a veteran quick who has excelled in Dutch club cricket for the past decade.

Of Pakistani origin, the EU Passport holder has starred for Topklasse’ sides VRA and Excelsior ’20.

During his time in the Netherlands, he has been a key figure in his side's Championship-winning titles – with VRA in 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, and Excelsior ’20 in 2016, and 2017.

Like a fine wine, Bhatti has improved with age. Since statistical records began in 1988, Bhatti has taken 260 wickets at 19.87, with best bowling figures of 7-8. He is currently the 35th leading wicket-taker in Topklasse history.

An incredibly skillful bowler, Bhatti bowls at a decent pace, with plenty of variations, and is able to swing the ball both ways. Whilst known for his bowling, Bhatti is a useful lower-middle order batter who has produced several match-winning innings courtesy of his hard-hitting ability.

Now into his 40s, Bhatti is seeking another opportunity to ply his trade in club cricket come April 2022.
