Supriyo Chakraborty is a hugely talented all-rounder playing for the star-studded Jharkhand State team in Indian domestic cricket.

Hailing from the West Bengal capital, Kolkata, Supriyo plays for the State alongside a whole host of Indian stars including the likes of Ishan Kishan, Saurabh Tiwari, Shahbaz Nadeem, and Varun Aaron, in a squad that also features CricX (and UK club cricket) stars Nazim Siddiqui and Virat Singh.

Supriyo initially broke into the Jharkhand side back in March 2019, making his T20 debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Gujarat. He would wait till January 2023 for his first-class (Ranji Trophy) debut, and till November the same year to feature in List A (Vijay Hazare Trophy) cricket.

He has since become somewhat of a utility figure in the Jharkhand squad given his all-round ability. A genuine all-rounder, Supriyo is an accomplished middle order batter who is capable of batting time, but also upping the tempo when required. With the ball, he either opens the bowling, or comes on first change with the ability to move the ball both ways at pace, yet maintaining a professional line and length. He has become a go to performer for the State across the three formats.

Supriyo is looking to cement his spot in Jharkhand's side this summer and push for IPL honours. Thereafter, he is eager to secure his maiden UK stint for the 2025 season. He is someone that comes highly recommended with the skill set to dominate UK club cricket next summer.
