Sushant Mishra is an exciting left-arm speedster playing for Jharkhand in domestic cricket.
He has become a key performer for the star-studded Jharkhand side that features the likes of Indian internationals Ishan Kishan, Shahbaz Nadeem, and Saurabh Tiwary, to name but a few.
Whilst in the infancy of his professional career (7 FC, 5 List A), Mishra has been earmarked for big things. A schoolboy prodigy, Mishra represented India U19s in 18 ODI matches (2019-20), and starred during their victorious ICC Under-19 World Cup campaign in South Africa (Jan/Feb 2020), saving his best for the semi (3-28 v Pakistan), and final (2-25 v Bangladesh).
Courtesy of his promise, he was signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as a replacement player for the 2022 IPL. Unfortunately, he did not feature, nor was he picked up during the auction (Dec 2022) for the 2023 edition. Therefore, given his exclusion, the talented left-arm quick is seeking a UK stint in 2024.
A serious prospect, who doubles as an explosive hitter in the lower order. It’s fair to say Mishra will be a force to be reckoned with come the British summer.
