Uzzair Shah is a promising all-rounder aspiring to follow in his brother’s footsteps and earn County honours.

The Glasgow-born, now Old Trafford (Manchester) based batter who bowls seam-up, has represented Scotland through the age groups and has been heavily involved with their Performance Academy program.

He represented Scotland at the 2020 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup and topped their run charts, including the highest score of 71 (77) when chasing down UAE’s 249 inside 45 overs. Heading into the tournament, he struck 90* against Denmark and was one of Scotland’s leading run-scorers at both under 15, and 17 level.

During his time in Scotland, he also represented the Western Warriors and was a key performer for Poloc in the Western District League. Following his family's move to Manchester, he has played club cricket for both Highfield (Liverpool League), and Eccleshall (North Staffs and South Cheshire), but is now looking for a club closer to home in 2022.

Shah, who comes from a rich cricketing background, with his father playing first-class in Pakistan, and brothers featuring for Lancashire (Owais) and Scotland/Lancashire age-groups (Sohaib).

The talented all-rounder, who bagged 25 wickets at 18 with his seam-up in club cricket last summer, is ideally seeking a club in the GMCL, or surrounding leagues next season.
