A genuine all-rounder, Varun is a former Ireland U19's International after he represented his Country in a number of Youth ODI games back in 2018. An organised right-handed middle-order batsman, He is capable of adapting his scoring rate based on the game scenario regularly.
Also blessed with the talent of bowling right-arm leg-spin, Chopra has already made both his List A and T20 debut for North West Warriors. At just 23-years-old, Varun has previous experience playing overseas after he spent a number of years completing his university studies and playing cricket in Liverpool, England.
Upon returning to Ireland, the 'leggy' is back playing his club cricket for local side Cliftonville in the NCU Premier League. The Irishman continues to build his reputation and has hopes of returning to the North West Warriors white-ball squad in the near future.
