Kevin Kasuza is a high-class Zimbabwean batter best known for opening the innings in Test cricket. After years of consistent performances and hard work on the domestic circuit, he earned his Test debut in January 2020 and made an immediate impact, scoring a fluent 63 against Sri Lanka. He went on to feature in seven Tests, compiling 249 runs at 22.63, and showing glimpses of the skill that had long earmarked him as an international prospect.
A former Zimbabwe Under-19 star, Kasuza burst onto the professional scene in 2011/12, scoring two centuries in the Pro50 Competition to finish among the top five run-scorers. He followed that with his maiden Logan Cup hundred (132*) the next season and has been a consistent contributor in both red and white-ball formats ever since. Standout seasons include 2016/17, when he amassed 446 runs at 44.60 with a century and three fifties, and 2019/20, when his 415 runs at 51.87 in the Logan Cup earned him a deserved Test call-up.
While his recent Logan Cup returns have been modest, Kasuza’s class, experience, and technical quality remain evident. Highly regarded by Zimbabwean legend Hamilton Masakadza, he also brings strong leadership qualities and a passion for coaching, particularly in junior development.
A proven top-order batter with international experience, Kasuza offers both quality on the field and valuable mentorship off it, making him a well-rounded asset for any side.
