Pramud Hettiwatte

Pramud Hettiwatte is an experienced and proven batting all-rounder with a strong record across Sri Lanka’s domestic circuit and club cricket in both England and Australia.

A powerful left-handed batter who also offers effective left-arm spin, Pramud developed his game with Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club, Badureliya Sports Club, and Nugegoda Sports and Welfare Club before joining Ace Capital Cricket Club for the 2021/22 season, where he continued to impress in Sri Lankan domestic cricket. His standout First-Class campaigns include 461 runs at 38.41 in 2019/20 and 484 runs at 37.23 in 2022/23, underlining his consistency and ability to perform under pressure.

During the Sri Lankan off-season, Hettiwatte signed for Pudsey Congs Cricket Club in the Bradford Cricket League in 2022, where he enjoyed a highly successful campaign, scoring 876 runs at 39.82 and claiming 13 wickets. His performances earned him a move to Cowdrey Cricket Club in the Kent Cricket League, where he produced two excellent seasons, with 2025 proving particularly outstanding, scoring 799 runs at 57.07 while also taking 24 wickets.

Pramud’s overseas journey also extended to Australia, where he enjoyed two successful seasons in Melbourne representing Hampton Cricket Club in the Cricket Southern Bayside competition and Sunshine Cricket Club in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association. Across both seasons, he accumulated over 1,100 runs and claimed 53 wickets at 21.79, including best bowling figures of 8/33.

In addition to his playing credentials, Pramud is an ECB Level Two qualified coach and is eager to immerse himself within a club’s coaching structure, contributing significantly both on and off the field while helping develop younger players.

Now based in Tasmania, Pramud Hettiwatte represents a marquee signing for any club seeking a proven batting all-rounder capable of delivering consistent performances and leadership for the 2026/27 season.
