Vinodh Perera

Vinodh Perera is a seasoned Sri Lankan all-rounder whose career spans over a decade of domestic cricket and a wealth of overseas success. Since his first-class debut in 2011, he has played 75 matches across all formats, making his mark as an explosive middle-order batter and brisk medium-pacer. In recent years, he has been particularly effective in red-ball cricket, averaging 26.60 with two centuries, while excelling with the ball in white-ball formats, where he averages under 20 in both List A and T20 cricket. His maiden first-class century — a blistering 138 from 163 balls on debut for Panadura Sports Club — remains a career highlight, reflecting his ability to change a game in a session.

Perera’s domestic career has seen him represent Sri Lanka Navy SC, Kurunegala Youth, Bloomfield, Nugegoda SWC, and most notably Panadura, where he enjoyed some of his most productive seasons. Beyond Sri Lanka, he has built a formidable reputation in league cricket around the world. In the UK, he has starred for Anston, Potterne, Lutterworth, and most recently Endon, amassing thousands of runs and hundreds of wickets across multiple seasons. Highlights include over 1,000 runs and 54 wickets for Anston in 2018, topping the Premier League wicket charts for Lutterworth ahead of several county professionals, and his 2025 season with Endon, where he averaged over 40 with the bat and under 18 with the ball. His overseas exploits also extend to New Zealand, with productive stints in Hawkes Bay and Nelson.

A proven match-winner with both bat and ball and a respected presence off the field through his coaching, Perera is now eyeing what could be his final UK stint in 2026 — one more chance to showcase the skills that have made him a sought-after professional across the cricketing globe.
