Christopher Pringle is a former New Zealand international fast bowler turned accomplished coach, bringing a unique blend of top-level playing experience, international coaching expertise, and a successful business background. Born in Auckland in 1966, Pringle represented New Zealand at the highest level between 1990 and 1995, playing 64 One Day Internationals (103 wickets at 23.87) and 14 Tests (30 wickets), following a strong domestic career with Auckland where he claimed 194 first-class wickets. He was also part of the New Zealand Under-20 squad for the Bicentennial World Cup in Australia in 1988.

After his professional playing days, Pringle spent six years in the Netherlands as Head Coach of Royal Hage Cricket Club (HCC) from 1995–2001, before serving as Bowling Coach at VRA Cricket Club in Amsterdam. His coaching philosophy centres on building rapid and sustainable player improvement by working alongside athletes, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and creating environments where players feel comfortable yet challenged. He believes in honest, direct communication and fostering competition within a supportive team culture to unlock peak performance.

Returning to New Zealand in 2004 to establish a business career, Pringle has since combined leadership skills from sales and marketing with his deep cricketing knowledge. His coaching journey includes mentoring his son, Tim Pringle — now a Netherlands international — and guiding Western Bay of Plenty junior programmes between 2010 and 2015. Most recently, as Head Coach of Mount Maunganui Senior Club in 2024/25, he led the Premier side to victory in the Bay of Plenty Men’s 2-Day competition and top position in the Williams Cup one-day competition.

With a proven track record in both professional and grassroots cricket, a lifetime of high-pressure sporting experience, and the ability to translate lessons from business into team performance, Pringle is now open to roles worldwide as Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Mentor/Scout, or Bowling Coach. His goal over the next decade is simple: to commit fully to coaching, test his limits, and help players and teams achieve their potential on the global stage.
