Chanuka Dilshan

Chanuka Dilshan is a gifted left-arm spinner who has steadily built a reputation as a match-winner for Moors Sports Club in Sri Lankan domestic cricket. Making his first-class debut in 2017/18, he has since become a consistent wicket-taker across formats, with over 100 first-class scalps at an impressive average of 24.19, including seven five-wicket hauls and a career-best 7-46 in the 2024/25 season. His white-ball record is equally eye-catching, especially in List A cricket, where he has claimed 62 wickets at a miserly 14.91, highlighted by two five-wicket hauls and a standout 5-20.

Dilshan’s progress has been punctuated by standout campaigns, notably his 35 wickets at just 17.34 in the 2024/25 first-class season and his dominance in the 2022 List A competition, where he snared 26 wickets at 11.73. Away from the Sri Lankan circuit, he has thrived in UK club cricket, enjoying a prolific Sussex League stint with Rye in 2023 before two seasons with Slinfold. In that time, he amassed 120 wickets at 11.24, topping the entire league in 2025 with 44 wickets at a scarcely believable 8.89, while also chipping in with useful lower-order runs.

Equally effective in exploiting subcontinental turn or English seam-friendly conditions, Dilshan combines accuracy, variation, and patience to outfox batters.
