Ashcombe Park sign promising South African all-rounder Tim Boyd

Ashcombe Park has swooped to sign promising South African batting all-rounder Tim Boyd for their 2023 North Staffs and South Cheshire League campaign.

A fluent left-handed top-order batter who bowls brisk medium pace, Boyd plays for the strong Durbanville Cricket Club’s Reserves in the Western Province Cricket Association competition.

The youngster has previously been part of the Helderberg Hawks U19 (Boland Premier League), and Outlaws U19 (Cape Town Premier League) sides, but his focus is now on breaking into the Durbanville 1st XI.

Holder of a UK Ancestry Visa, Boyd is set to embark on his maiden UK trip in 2023 having signed with Ashcombe Park for their North Staffs and South Cheshire Premier League campaign.
