Hibiscus Coast is delighted to announce the signing of Durham prospect Brodie Glendinning for its 2022/23 Auckland Cricket Association campaign.

Glendinning is a young, exciting seam bowling all-rounder playing Premier club, and representative cricket for Newcastle (Club), Durham 2nd XI (County), and Cumbria (NCCA), respectively.

A tall, and athletic seam bowler, Glendinning is widely regarded as one of the most skillful bowlers in his age range. This summer he joined Newcastle Cricket Club from powerhouse North East Premier League club Chester-le-Street.

Glendinning is a former Durham Academy graduate, he has played five seasons in the NEPL against the likes of Chris Rushworth, Brydon Carse, Alex Lees, Marcus North, and Josh Phillipe, to name but a few.

Such was his promise, Glendinning was selected for an England Young Lions training camp in September 2020. The 24 players from across the country trained at Loughborough University.

Over the past 3 seasons, he has really come to the fore in red-ball cricket. Glendinning bagged 41 wickets at 19.32 last summer (2021), following season averages of 15.06 (2020), and 18.15 (2019), in one of the most competitive ECB Premier Leagues in the country.

Seen as a potential County player in the making, Glendinning is heading down under this winter to continue his development having signed with New Zealand club Hibiscus Coast for their 2022/23 Auckland Cricket Association (Premier Men’s) campaign.
