Hatherleigh is delighted to confirm the signing of Indian batting all-rounder, Shreyansh Ghosh, for their 2024 Devon League campaign.

Shreyansh Ghosh is an accomplished left-handed batter, and tidy leg-spinner, who after years of club dominance was finally rewarded with Ranji Trophy selection for Bengal this year.

Playing alongside the big boys of Ranji cricket, including the likes of Mumbai, Chhattisgarh, and Uttar Pradesh, in a Bengal side featuring a range of domestic superstars (Manoj Tiwary, Sudip Chatterjee, and Abhimanu Easwaran to name but a few), his selection was, quite frankly, long overdue.

After dominating for Bengal through the age-groups, including topping the U16 run charts (2010), averaging 50 over three seasons for the U19s (2011-13), and being one of the States most influential all-rounders for the U23s (2014-17), he has been resigned to club cricket for the past decade.

During this period playing for Bengal Super Division teams including East Bengal Cricket Club, Barisha Sporting Club, and Kalighat Club, he has been the highest run scorer. Most recently, for the latter (2022/23), he won the First Division Championship finishing with 3 centuries, 6 fifites, and an average over 70.

Whilst Ghosh did not set first-class cricket alight in his 5 Ranji matches, scoring only 126 runs with a highest score of 41 against Uttar Pradesh, Ghosh is finally playing for Bengal where he belongs.

Now looking to cement his spot in the Bengal side, Ghosh is eager and now set to continue his run spree abroad with a season in England. He has signed with Hatherleigh where he hopes to light up the Devon League throughout the 2024 season.
