Bonbeach Tangy have signed Yorkshire County prospect Matthew Weston for their 2022/23 Cricket Southern Bayside campaign.
Weston is a hugely talented batsman from Yorkshire, England. Not only a fluent left-hand top-order batter but an excellent fielder who bowls handy off-spin.
He has excelled in recent seasons and courtesy of his club and Academy exploits earned his Yorkshire CCC 2nd XI debut against Lancashire CCC last summer.
The Yorkshireman currently plays for Huddersfield Premier League side Barkisland Cricket Club, outside of his Yorkshire Academy commitments in the Yorkshire Premier League.
The youngster excelled for both in 2021 racking up well over 1000 runs at an average of over 40. Weston has his eyes on a rookie contract with Yorkshire and is eager to keep developing.
A player with County potential, Weston is looking to continue his form into the 2022 season before embarking on his maiden stint down under having recently signed with Bonbeach Tangy for their 2022/23 Cricket Southern Bayside campaign.
