Camberley is delighted to welcome former Northants Academy spinner Farhaan Khan to the club for their 2022 Surrey Championship campaign.

Khan is an exciting left-arm spin bowling prospect looking to break into professional cricket.

He has enjoyed a taste in recent years, having spent 3-years on the Northamptonshire Academy, and going on to play three 2nd XI Championship games last summer.

Khan, who was involved with the Northants Under-17s, has also excelled for Buckinghamshire at age-group and Academy level, with the highlight his 12 wickets in a 3-day match against Lincolnshire in 2018 – 5/33 (20), and 7/29 (16.4).

During the same year, he played his second season of Home Counties Premier League cricket for Burnham, taking 24 wickets at 25.79. He has subsequently backed up with season tallies of 33 wickets at 18.39 (2019), and 24 wickets at 25.33 (2021).

In recent years, Khan has also developed his batting, and last summer was occupying a middle-order slot for Burnham where he averaged 17.88 with a highest score of 59 not out from 44 balls.

Unfortunately, Khan was released from the Northants Academy last summer, so is now looking to explore other County options.

Seeking pastures new, he has also moved clubs for the 2022 season, having recently joined Camberley for their Surrey Championship campaign.
