Central Indians are delighted to announce the signing of former Ireland A batter Cormac McLoughlin-Gavin for their 2022/23 Baywide Premier Men’s campaign.
McLoughlin-Gavin is an accomplished top-order batter playing both Club (The Hills), and representative cricket (Leinster Lightning), in Ireland.
A long-standing, and integral member of Irish powerhouse, The Hills, courtesy of his club performances in the Leinster League and Irish Senior Cup competitions, McLoughlin-Gavin has enjoyed plenty of representative honours.
He played for Irish Universities in 2015, was an Ireland Under-19 member, represented Leinster Lightning (Inter-Provincial) and Ireland A sides in 2019, then Munster Reds over the past two seasons.
In 2020, he made his T20 debut for Munster Reds, then full List A debut the following year, with success. The talented Irishman has now returned to the Lightning, and still harbours ambitions of breaking into the full National squad.
For now, though, McLoughlin-Gavin will continue racking up runs for The Hills before embarking on another overseas jaunt this winter having recently signed with Central Indians for their Baywide Premier Men’s campaign.
The run machine has previously enjoyed overseas stints in England (Richmond – 2018), and Australia (Lisarow Ourimbah (2018/19).
