Diss has secured the services of West Indies Under-19 star Mbeki Joseph for their 2022 Norfolk Alliance campaign.

An outstanding prospect

Joseph is an explosive batter who has represented the West Indies Under-19s and is on the verge of a Trinidad and Tobago Red Force debut.

An outstanding prospect, Joseph shot to prominence courtesy of his exploits for St. Benedict College (La Romain), and Preysal Sports Club, where he plays alongside former Test star Narsingh Deonarine.

World Cup success

His destructive batting, predominantly from the opening slot, culminated with Windies inclusion for the ICC Under-19 World Cup in December 2019. Whilst he didn’t set the tournament alight, he produced glimpses of his quality, particularly with his fighting 38 against England. Following the World Cup, he would go on to hit his Windies U19 career-best 44 against Canada.

Since his Under-19 days, Joseph has been working tirelessly on his game in a view to breaking into the Red Force side. It’s envisaged, given his recent (Dec 2021) trial match half-century (56) that he stands every chance of a T&T call for the upcoming WICB 4-Day Provincial competition (Feb-June 2022).

Signs with Diss

Thereafter, the talented San Fernando-based batter will wing his way to the UK to play his maiden club stint having recently signed with Diss for their 2022 Norfolk Alliance campaign.
