East Malvern Tooronga is delighted to welcome Kent League cricketer James Speer to the club for their 2022/23 ECA campaign.
Speer is a talented left-arm opening bowler, and hard-hitting batter, playing for Linden Park in division 1 of the Kent League.
Speer is quite the prospect who was the club’s 1st team “Player of the Year” in 2021 courtesy of 28 wickets at 18.61 and 395 runs at 24.69.
He has backed up last season’s efforts with another strong 2022 campaign – 29 wickets at 19.76 and 304 runs at 15.20 at the point of writing (01/09/22).
A genuine strike bowler, Speer predominantly swings the ball back into the right-handers, and in recent years has developed into a batter capable of demanding all-rounder status.
He is now looking to develop his game and is set to venture down under having recently signed with East Malvern Tooronga Cricket Club for their Eastern Cricket Association campaign.
