Eastern Cricket Association club Edinburgh is pleased to announce the signing of former Gloucestershire 2nd XI all-rounder Dominic Hooper for its 2022/23 ECA campaign.

Hooper is a genuine seam bowling all-rounder playing for Claverham (Yatton) in the Bristol and District Cricket Association.

A hard-hitting batter who bowls brisk medium pace, Hooper represented Gloucestershire through the age groups and made his 2nd XI Championship debut as a 15-year-old.

Whilst Hooper hasn’t featured for the County since 2017, he has been an integral member of his club side, Claverham, racking up performances, year-in, year-out.

Since his debut for the club as a junior, bar two seasons with neighboring WEPL club Landsdown (2018-19), he has racked up 6,391 runs at 30.29 alongside 334 wickets at 18.52.

Over the past two seasons for Claverham, Hooper has taken his performances to the next level, hitting 754 runs at 44.35 and 32 wickets at 18.16 in 2021, before a further 573 runs at 57.30 and 18 wickets at 22.78 at the point of writing (08/08/22) this summer.

The Bristol-based all-rounder is keen to continue his playing development and is set to embark on a stint abroad this winter. He has recently signed with Edinburgh Cricket Club for their 2022/23 Eastern Cricket Association campaign in Melbourne, where he will be looking to impress.
