CricX are thrilled to announce Halls Head Cricket Club’s signing of Angus Beattie for the 2023/24 season.
Beattie is a talented left-handed spin bowling all-rounder from Edinburgh, Scotland.
A front-line orthodox left arm spinner and highly capable middle order batter, he plays club cricket for Carlton Cricket Club in the Scottish Eastern Premier League, as well as previous experience in the North East Premier League in England. He was Carlton’s bowler of the Year in 2022 with 26 wickets at an average of 18.77. He is a big game player, taking 4 wickets in the Scottish T20 Cup final in 2021 and 3 wickets in the Scottish Cup Final in 2017, both in winning causes. He also has experience playing T10 cricket taking part in the European Cricket League in 2022.
After representing Scotland at U19 level in the World Cup Qualifiers he has since played for the Durham University UCCE team, including three matches against First-Class Counties where he took 4 wickets.
