Highton has unveiled their overseas recruit for their Geelong campaign in the form of ex-England Under-19 batter Greg Willows.

Willows is a hugely talented dual Passport (British/South African) holding batter who has enjoyed plenty of success in his fledgling career to date.

The British-born batter, who spent his latter teenage years plying his trade in South Africa, is an exciting top-order bat who bowls handy leg-spin.

Willows progressed through the Gloucestershire age-group system, represented England Under-19s (2018), and earned a 1st XI debut in 2019 against the touring Australian A side. Batting at 7 he scored 10 before being dismissed by Josh Hazlewood.

In recent years has been playing regularly for Dorset Minor Counties and Somerset CCC 2nd XI.

Alongside his representative commitments, he has been a stand-out for West of England Premier League powerhouse Clevedon. He was an integral member of the side that won 2 Premierships in 3-years.

Willows aspires to break back into professional cricket, and this summer is playing for Sileby Town in the Leicestershire and Rutland League (533 runs at 41 at the point of writing).

Following his season in the Leicestershire League, Willows is set to head down under to play for Highton in the Geelong Cricket Association.
