Horspath is delighted to announce the signing of Imraan Manack for their 2022 Home Counties Premier League campaign.
One of South Africa’s best
Manack is one of South African domestic cricket’s leading spinners. A towering off-spinner, Manack has used his height to his advantage in recent years where he boasts some of the best numbers in white-ball cricket.
In List A cricket, he has bagged 22 wickets at 16.22 (2018/19), 22 wickets 29.36 (2019/20), and last summer (2020/21) was the joint wicket-taker with 8 wickets at 28.75 (econ 4.92) for the Cape Cobras to take out the Momentum One Day Cup Player of the Year in the latter.
Now with Boland Rocks for the 2021/22 season, Manack harbors national ambitions, and given his recent success, he stands every chance for a call-up soon.
Domestic success
The spinner, who is also a more than useful batter, has already earned national recognition with South African Invitation selection, playing England in 2 matches, bagging the wicket of Eoin Morgan (early 2020). He was also a key performer in Tshwane Spartans run to the Mzansi Super League Final run (2019), Easterns Africa T20 Cup (2018), and One Day Cup (2019/20) prior to that.
… and dominant abroad
Manack is quite the prospect who is now looking to embark on a third UK stint following successful stints in 2017 (Hornchurch – 489 runs at 81.50 and 28 wickets at 12.18) and 2019 (Eckington – 477 runs at 36.69 and 32 runs at 22.22).
Now set for round three
An accomplished, and accredited CSA Level 2 coach, Manack is keen to impress for Horspath having recently signed with them for their 2022 Home Counties Premier League campaign.
