Katandra has made a double signing with Cumbrian due James Lythgoe and James Dawson for their 2022/23 Cricket Shepparton campaign.
James Dawson
Dawson is an accomplished batter playing for Cumbria League powerhouse Carlisle.
Despite his age, Dawson is a veteran of 170 plus matches for the club, where he has racked up over 2,500 runs with an average in the mid-20s.
He has become a key member of Carlisle’s 1st XI in recent seasons, and last summer (2021) struck 538 runs at 29.89 for the club, including his second hundred (102).
James Lythgoe
James Lythgoe is a young batting all-rounder from Cumbria, who is currently playing in the Derbyshire and Cheshire League for Old Glossop Cricket Club
A batting all-rounder who bowls off-spin, Lythgoe moved to Old Glossop this summer, following stints with Lanercost (2013-15), Carlisle (2016-20), and Alsager (2021).
This season, Lythgoe has scored 333 runs at 25.62 with a highest score of 91 (from 90 balls including 7 sixes). He has also bagged 10 wickets at 23.40 for good measure, following a prolific 2021 stint with Alsager (447 runs at 26.29 and 29 wickets at 19.55).
