March Town is pleased to announce the signing of South African batting all-rounder Aron Visser for their 2022 Cambs and Hunts League campaign.

A schoolboy prodigy

Aron Visser is an exciting prospect from Germiston, a small city in the East Rand region of Gauteng, South Africa.

A schoolboy prodigy, after dominating age-group and Varsity cricket, he was rewarded with provincial selection for Easterns in 2018. He has since gone on to play 22 matches across the three formats – 14 in One-Day cricket, where he has become a first-team regular.

Playing in a side that features numerous Franchise players, the batting all-rounder has produced a glimpse of his undoubted potential.

An adaptable all-rounder…

A hard-hitting middle-order batter, who bowls predominantly off-spin, but is a capable leg-spinner, Visser was a shining light for St Benedicts College before starring for the prestigious Tuks University. He was part of their 2018 and 2019 Varsity Cup-winning campaigns and was a key figure during their World Campus Varsity triumph hitting 4 undefeated scores of 35+, striking at over 125, to include a man of the match award in 2019.

The previous season he was part of the Easterns One-Day title campaign, then last summer (2019/20) was influential in Easterns Three-Day and T20 titles.

Visser set for maiden UK stint

Visser is a talented batting all-rounder who is looking to play further domestic cricket this season, before embarking on his maiden UK stint in 2022 having recently signed with March Town for their Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire Cricket League campaign.
