Pennant Hills District is pleased to welcome exiting wicket-keeper batter George Politis to the club for their 2022/23 Sydney Shires campaign.
Politis is an opening batter who can keep wicket to a high standard, Politis is currently making his way in the game and is now a regular for Merseyside giants Ormskirk Cricket Club.
Playing in the ECB Liverpool Premier League, he has spent this summer playing 1st XI cricket and, at the point of writing, has racked up 1,247 runs at 38.97 across all cricket for the club.
Politis has a solid technique and his aggressive approach allows him to dominate opposition bowling attacks from ball one. After playing his junior cricket for Ormskirk and age group cricket for Lancashire County Cricket Club up to the age of 18, he is continuing to develop into a consistent performer across all formats.
This summer, he has churned out 8 fifties, 3 hundreds, and a best of 108 vs Formby. With the gloves, the youngster is a confident, reliable, and technically sound wicketkeeper.
Having recently finished studying at University, the talented youngster is heading down under this winter to play in the Sydney Shires Competition for Pennant Hills District where he hopes to impress.
