Plymouth is pleased to announce Indian pro, Nazim Siddiqui, will return to the club for a second Devon League stint in 2024.

Siddiqui is a high-class batter who opens up for Jharkhand in a side that includes the likes of Indian internationals Saurabh Tiwary, Ishan Kishan, Shahbaz Nadeem, and CricX young gun Kumar Kushagra.

Since his debut during the 2017/18 Ranji season, Siddiqui has excelled, particularly in first-class (Ranji Trophy), and List A (Vijay Hazare Trophy) cricket. The powerful right-hander has scored 1,983 runs at 33.59 with 4 centuries in Ranji cricket.

To compliment his batting, Siddiqui is a more than useful medium pacer. Bowling opportunities are limited in the strong Jharkhand side flooded with high-quality spin, but he is a regular to the bowling crease in corporate cricket.

Siddiqui, who has skippered Jharkhand in the past, has shown a propensity to score big against strong bowling attacks. He has a highest score of 173, another three hundreds, and a 99 against serial Ranji Trophy winners Saurashtra.

A player of serious pedigree, Siddiqui impressed during his maiden UK stint in 2023, turning out for Plymouth during their Devon League campaign (559 runs at 32.88 and 10 wickets at 23.9), and is now set to return for a second season in 2024.
