Salesbury is delighted to confirm the signing of former Bangladeshi Test star MD Zunaed Siddique for their 2023 North West Cricket League campaign.

Siddique is a legend of Bangladesh cricket. A veteran of 80 international and almost 400 domestic matches. Dating back to his debut 2003/04 season, Siddique has racked up over 16,000 runs, including 2,324 at international level.

In a career spanning almost two decades, his highlight is undoubtedly his maiden Test match hundred against England in Chittagong back in March 2010.

Despite some outstanding performances, inconsistency hampered Siddique’s international career, with his final outing coming against the West Indies in November 2012. Nevertheless, Siddique has continued to pile on the runs across the three formats in domestic cricket.

He has been a consistent run-getter since his international ousting with best first-class season tallies of 1,024 runs at 60.23 and 904 runs at 56.50 during the 2016/17 and 2018/19 seasons, respectively.

Since the 2014/15 season, he has racked up 13 first-class centuries, with an average over 50, including a highest score of 149 scored in October 2022.

Siddique remains a high-class performer and is now set to venture to the UK for his first club stint having signed with Salesbury for their inaugural North West Cricket League campaign in 2023.
