St Albans is pleased to announce the signing of exciting Zimbabwean all-rounder Connor Mitchell for their 2023 Hertfordshire Cricket League campaign.

Mitchell is a hugely talented all-rounder from Zimbabwe who benefits from a British Passport.

Mitchell, who represented Zimbabwe U19s at the ICC Under 19s World Cup in 2022, is an impressive young cricketer eager to make his way in the game.

The dual Passport holder enjoyed 10 outings for his country, averaging 30 with the bat including a highest score of 73 against Ireland. The all-rounder also bagged 11 wickets with his left-arm finger spin.

Mitchell is a currently member of the Mashonaland Eagles domestic squad and hopes to break into the professional fold shortly.

But, for now, the Zimbabwean prospect is set to return to England following a strong 2022 campaign with Warley in the Halifax League. He was a league stand-out hitting 720 runs at 25.71 alongside 59 wickets at 23.54 across all formats.

For the 2023 season, Mitchell is set to play for St Albans Cricket Club in the Hertfordshire League where he’ll be out to impress in a view to securing County 2nd XI opportunities.
