Brunswick is pleased to confirm the signing of former Minor Counties, and Cheshire League run machine Marcus Stables for their 2022/23 VSDCA campaign.
Marcus Stables is a clean-hitting top-order batter currently pushing for re-selection at National Counties Level having made his Minor Counties Debut (2018) at the age of 19 scoring 117.
Between 2018 and 2020 with Cumbrian club Cockermouth, Stables scored 860 runs (30 innings) at 36 with 5 x 50’s and 1 x 100’s.
In 2021, Stables took on a new challenge making the move to Astley & Tyldesley Cricket Club in the GMCL where he contributed 700 runs in 23 innings across the season for the 1st Xl with 4 x 50’s and 1 x 100’s, Top score of 148 in the Quarter Final of the Derek Kay Cup.
The youngster, who relocated to Stoke due to work commitments in 2022, is currently dominating for Cheshire powerhouse Nantwich this summer (690 runs at 49.29).
Following his season, he will travel down under to play for Brunswick in the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association.
