West Newport is pleased to announce the signing of Hayes, and Bath University gloveman Liam Buttery for their 2022/23 VTCA campaign.
Buttery is a hugely talented wicket-keeper batter from Kent, playing both ECB Premier League (Hayes) and University 1st XI (Bath) cricket.
A dynamic cricketer, Buttery has impressed over the past two seasons, and this summer in particular hitting 1,331 runs at 45.90 for both clubs.
He enjoyed a stunning 2021 season, bagging 44 victims behind the stumps for Hayes, and this summer, was part of their Kent Premier League title-winning campaign.
Alongside his club commitments, Buttery represented the Bath University 1st XI, where he has become an integral member.
The left-handed batter and competent gloveman is quite the talent who is set to continue his development in Australia this winter having signed with West Newport for their 2022/23 Victorian Turf Cricket Association campaign.
