He has notched up well over 6,000 domestic runs with an average in excess of 30 in these matches and his stocks continue to rise courtesy of his success in recent years.

In red-ball cricket, he has scored 506 runs at 31.62 (2017/18), 517 runs at 47.00 (2018/19), 233 runs at 33.28 (2019/20), 586 runs at 65.11 (2020/21), 364 runs at 40.44 (2021/22), and 145 runs at 29 (2022/23) with 6 centuries during this period.

Prior to his move to Auckland for the current 2023/24 season, Fletcher was a key performer for Canterbury in white-ball cricket, with season List A / T20 averages of 25.16 / 68.75 (2017/18), 38.00 / 42.00 (2018/19), 34.00 / 58.00 (2019/20), 78.00 / 31.50 (2020/21), 7 / 43.57 (2021/22), and 23.20 / 29.80 (2022/23), respectively.

Fletcher has been rewarded for his domestic exploits in recent years. He has been Canterbury's “Player of the Year”, “Batter of the Year” and “Player’s Player of the Year”, and has featured in New Zealand Winter Training Squad's and 'A' sides. In fact, he scored a century for New Zealand A against the touring Indian A side in November 2018.

The ex Canterbury, now Auckland star is now looking to push for Blackcaps honours and with the recent retirement of BJ Watling, he'll go head-to-head with the likes of Tom Latham, Tim Seifert, and Tom Blundell for the gloves across the three formats.

In addition to his domestic exploits, Fletcher has impressed abroad with club stints with Golcar (2013), Sandwich Town (2019), and New Farnley (2023) previously. During his last stint, he also picked up a 3-match stint with Glamorgan for their Vitality Blast campaign, following an outstanding season in the Bradford League (1,216 runs at 86.86).

Fletcher is now only a high class player, but a brilliant bloke to boot, who is set to return to New Farnley for a second Bradford League stint in 2024.
