Derval Green

Derval Green is a seasoned all-rounder who has been a pillar of consistency for Jamaica in West Indies domestic cricket since his debut in 2015. In a team stacked with internationals, he has established himself as the side’s go-to seamer, delivering year after year in the four-day game with standout wicket hauls, including 27 at 25.81 in 2017/18, 19 at 18.26 in 2018/19, and 22 at 24.86 in 2019/20, alongside equally strong returns in recent seasons.

In addition to his bowling, Green has grown into a valuable middle-lower order contributor, producing consistent runs—most notably 263 at 29.22 in 2019/20 and 174 at 24.85 in 2023/24. His quality has been recognised on the wider stage, representing the West Indies ‘B’ side at the 2018 Global T20 in Canada and later featuring for the Chris Gayle-led Jamaica Tallawahs in the Caribbean Premier League.

Green’s overseas record is equally impressive. A short but impactful 2018 stint with Carlisle in the North Lancs and Cumbria Premier League yielded 25 wickets at 10.52 and a memorable 94 in the Higson Cup before international duties called. Since then, he has excelled in various American tournaments and enjoyed two standout UK summers—333 runs and 22 wickets for Ayr in 2024, followed by 478 runs at 47.8 and 20 wickets at 16.35 for Horspath in 2025.

Proven, versatile, and battle-hardened, Green remains a genuine match-winner and is ready for another UK campaign in 2026.
