Fayaz Khan Nasseri is an exciting all-rounder currently playing for Germany, alongside the likes of County players Dieter Klein (Leicestershire), Michael Richardson (Durham), and Justin Broad (Surrey).

Born in Afghanistan, Nasseri emigrated to Germany in 2015. He played local cricket for several years, and courtesy of his success in a T10 tournament in Spain (including a 34-ball 125*), was rewarded with German selection. He has since played in the World T20 Global qualifiers and remains involved with the squad for subsequent tournaments.

In 2022, Nasseri spent a season plying his trade in the Essex League for Benfleet. He excelled belting 694 runs at 49.57 alongside 36 wickets at 22.86.

Given his exploits, the club is keen to retain him for 2023 but Nasseri aspires to play a high standard, ideally ECB Premier League cricket in 2023.
