Imesh Udayanga is a seasoned spin-bowling all-rounder with over a decade of experience in Sri Lankan domestic cricket.
A former Sri Lanka Under-19 representative, Udayanga has featured in nearly 200 domestic matches since his T20 debut in April 2008. Across formats, he has scored over 3,600 runs (HS: 107) and taken more than 240 wickets—most of them in the longer format.
He currently represents Kandy Customs Sports Club, having joined them in the 2022/23 season. Over the years, he has also turned out for several leading Sri Lankan teams including Galle, Moors, Nondescripts, Badureliya, and Ports Authority.
Udayanga has also enjoyed success overseas. In Australia, he played three seasons—two with Bundoora United (2016/17–17/18) in the Diamond Valley Cricket Association and one with Brown Hill (2019/20) in the Ballarat Cricket Association. Across 37 matches, he scored 762 runs at 27.21 and took 44 wickets at 24.93.
In England, he has been outstanding in three consecutive seasons. He starred for Madeley in the Shropshire County Cricket League (2021–22), scoring 1,598 runs at 47.00 and claiming 72 wickets at 18.85.
Imesh has spent three consecutive seasons with Lindfield in the Sussex League, amassing totals of 1,767 runs at 53.55 and 66 wickets at 16.27. He is set to return to the UK in 2026.
