Jamshid Miralikhail is an exceptional prospect from Kunduz, in Afghanistan.

A gifted off-spinner who bats in the middle order, Miralikhail has progressed from a talented youngster who starred for Afghanistan U19s, to an established professional in senior domestic cricket.

In his 8 ODI matches for Afghanistan U19s (2019/20-22/23), Miralikhail averaged 42, and 30.20 with bat and ball, respectively. He has also played across the three domestic formats, excelling with the ball, in-particular, with averages of 24.08 (FC), 24.85 (List A), and 17.66 (T20) at the point of writing.

His numbers, though, continue to improve courtesy of two outstanding domestic seasons for Amo Region in the Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament. In 2021/22, Miralikhail was named as the Emerging Player of the tournament courtesy of 237 runs at 47.40, including his maiden first-class century (105), and 13 wickets at 24.23. In 2022/23, he was bowler of the tournament following his 12 wickets at 15.16 including best bowling figures of 5-24 – his 6th FC 5 wicket haul.

The youngster is a serious talent who has been rubbing shoulders with the likes of Amo skipper (Abdul Malik), and Afghan heavyweight Mohammad Shahzad. The talented all-rounder is eager to follow in their footsteps and break into international cricket, but for now, the Toronto (Canada) based prospect is seeking opportunities in America/Canada for the foreseeable.

There are no overseas stats available for this player.
