Kurtlyn Mannikam is an accomplished spin bowling all-rounder playing for KwaZulu-Natal Inland in South Africa.
A schoolboy prodigy, Mannikam was a Jacques Kallis scholarship winner, attended Maritzburg College, and excelled through the provincial age groups.
After a glittering junior career, he earned his senior Inland debut at 19, playing a T20 match in February 2015. He has since played over 70 matches across the three formats, which he has enjoyed considerable success, particularly with the ball. Mannikam has taken well over 100 wickets, with averages of 31, 28, and 13 in first-class, List A, and T20 respectively.
However, his figures have been on the rise in recent years, as he has established himself as a key component of Inlands side, not just with the ball, but also with bat in hand where he averages early 20s with 4 half centuries in first-class cricket.
In a view to pushing higher honours, Mannikam embarked on a second stint abroad in 2019. He enjoyed success for GMCL’s Flowery Field Cricket Club, following his maiden season with Radlett in the Hertfordshire ECB Premier League in 2017.
The off-spin bowling all-rounder, who benefits from CSA level two coaching qualifications, is eager to return to Northern shores, once again, in 2024.
