Mayank Mishra

Mayank Mishra is a talented left-arm spin bowling all-rounder who broke into professional cricket in 2018/19 after years of consistent performances in club, inter-district, and office cricket. Representing Uttarakhand alongside IPL legend Rajat Bhatia, Mishra made an immediate impact in first-class cricket, taking 18 wickets at 22.55 in 5 Ranji Trophy matches, including best match figures of 8-80, while contributing valuable runs from the middle order with a highest score of 58.

Mishra's domestic career has gone from strength to strength since, and the 2025/26 Ranji Trophy season was his best yet — he finished as the tournament's second-highest wicket-taker with 59 scalps at 17.69, behind only Jammu & Kashmir's Auqib Nabi, and shared the joint-most four-plus wicket hauls (9) in the entire competition as Uttarakhand reached their maiden Ranji semi-final. It capped a remarkable run of late-season form, including four-wicket-plus hauls in each of his last four matches. His first-class career now stands at 175 wickets at 23.25, with best figures of 7/44 and 11/70 in a match, to go with 595 runs at 11.90 with the bat.

Alongside his Indian domestic career, Mishra has excelled in UK club cricket for six seasons now, featuring for Philadelphia (2021), Driffield Town (2022), Cleethorpes (2023–2025), and now Wickersley Old Village in 2026. He's long been one of the most feared bowlers in whichever league he's played in — his UK career tally has grown to 356 wickets at a remarkable 13.16, including 21 five-wicket hauls, and he topped the ECB Premier League wicket charts in 2025. This season at Wickersley he's also been given the chance to bat much higher up the order, and has grabbed it: 575 runs at 26.14, including five fifties, mark his best season yet with the bat, rounding him out as a genuine all-rounder in UK club cricket rather than just a lower-order bowling specialist.

Having proven himself at the very top of Indian domestic cricket and as one of the most consistent performers in UK club cricket, Mishra is now targeting a step up to County cricket in England, with 2027 his primary focus — though he'll continue playing club cricket regardless of how that search unfolds.
