Pramud Hettiwatte

Pramud Hettiwatte is an exciting batting all-rounder, combining hard-hitting left-handed batting with effective left-arm spin.

After developing his game at Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club, Badureliya, and Nugegoda, he joined Ace Capital Cricket Club for the 2021/22 season, where he continued to impress in Sri Lankan domestic cricket. His standout first-class campaigns include 461 runs at 38.41 in 2019/20 and 484 runs at 37.23 in 2022/23, highlighting his consistency and ability to score under pressure.

A natural leader, Hettiwatte captained Nalanda College (Colombo) and featured in Sri Lanka’s spin squad, while his prolific Under-19 provincial record—89 wickets at 18.04 across three formats—demonstrates his genuine all-round talent.

He has also performed strongly in the UK, scoring 876 runs at 39.82 and taking 13 wickets for Pudsey Congs in the Bradford League in 2022, followed by two highly successful stints with Kent League’s Cowdrey, including 799 runs at 57.07 and 24 wickets in 2025.

Now based in Melbourne, Hettiwatte enjoyed a productive season with Hampton in the Cricket Southern Bayside competition last summer, scoring 230 runs and taking 10 wickets. With a third Cowdrey stint confirmed for 2026, he will be looking to make another huge impact with both bat and ball.
